प्रदेश के चार निजी विवि को यूजीसी ने डिफॉल्टर बताया। जानकारी छिपाने और वेबसाइट को अपडेट न करने पर यह कार्रवाई की गई।
जानकारी छिपाने और आधिकारिक वेबसाइट को अपडेट न करने पर विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) ने प्रदेश के चार निजी विश्वविद्यालयों को डिफॉल्टर घोषित किया है। यूजीसी ने अधिनियम, 1956 की धारा-13 के तहत यह कार्रवाई की है। आयोग की ओर से उत्तराखंड की माया देवी यूनिवर्सिटी, माइंड पावर यूनिवर्सिटी, श्रीमती मंजीरा देवी यूनिवर्सिटी और सूरजमल यूनिवर्सिटी को डिफॉल्टर घोषित किया गया है।
इस संबंध में आयोग की ओर से ईमेल और ऑनलाइन बैठकों के माध्यम से कई बार स्मरण पत्र भेजे गए। बावजूद इसके इन विवि के प्रबंधन की ओर से इस पर ध्यान ही नहीं दिया गया। यूजीसी ने निर्देश देते हुए कहा था कि विवि रजिस्ट्रार की ओर से प्रमाणित सहायक दस्तावेज प्रस्तुत किए जाएं और भरे हुए प्रारूप और परिशिष्टों को अपनी वेबसाइट के होम पेज पर लिंक करके अपलोड करें जिससे छात्रों और आम जनता तक यह जानकारी आसानी से पहुंच सके।
