उत्तराखंड के मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने विजय दिवस पर देहरादून में बलिदानी सैनिकों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की। उन्होंने शहीदों के साहस और बलिदान को नमन करते हुए देश के लिए उनके योगदान को याद किया। इस दौरान सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी, राजपुर रोड विधायक खजान दास, कैंट विधायक सविता कपूर सहित बड़ी संख्या में पूर्व सैनिक उपस्थित रहे।

इस दौरान सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री गणेश जोशी, राजपुर रोड विधायक खजान दास, कैंट विधायक सविता कपूर सहित बड़ी संख्या में पूर्व सैनिक उपस्थित रहे। सैनिक कल्याण मंत्री श्री गणेश जोशी ने कहा कि सैनिकों का सम्मान करना हर नागरिक का कर्तव्य है।
शहीद की कोई जाति या धर्म नहीं होता, वह केवल देश के लिए अपना सर्वस्व बलिदान करता है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार सैनिकों और पूर्व सैनिकों के हितों को लेकर पूरी तरह संकल्पबद्ध है और इस दिशा में कई महत्वपूर्ण निर्णय लिए गए हैं।
बलिदानी सैनिकों के परिवार को दी जाने वाली सम्मान राशि 10 लाख रुपये से बढ़ाकर 50 लाख रुपये की गई है, वहीं वीरता पुरस्कार से अलंकृत सैनिकों को मिलने वाली सम्मान राशि में भी वृद्धि की गई है।
मंत्री ने कहा कि देश में सशक्त नेतृत्व का ही परिणाम है कि आज सीमा पार से एक गोली चलने पर उसका जवाब गोले से दिया जाता है। उन्होंने कहा कि देश के हर पांचवें सैनिक का संबंध उत्तराखंड से है, जो प्रदेश के युवाओं में अटूट देशप्रेम को दर्शाता है।
