मंगलवार को परेड ग्राउंड में जिला सांसद खेल महोत्सव के अंतर्गत वालीबाल, हाकी, फुटबाल, खो-खो, कबड्डी, एथलेटिक्स, पिट्ठू प्रतियोगिता का राज्यसभा सदस्य नरेश बंसल एवं कैबिनेट मंत्री धनसिंह रावत ने उद्घाटन किया। उन्होंने मैदान में जाकर विभिन्न खेल में हिस्सा लेने वाले खिलाड़ियों का परिचय लिया। राज्यसभा सदस्य नरेश बंसल ने कहा प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के संकल्प को मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी साकार कर रही है।
खेल भूमि बनाने का लिया संकल्प
उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री ने देवभूमि के साथ ही खेल भूमि बनाने का संकल्प लिया है। कहा आज अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर विभिन्न खेलों में पदक जीतकर खिलाड़ी प्रदेश का नाम रोशन कर रहे हैं। प्रधानमंत्री ने खेल को बढ़ाने के लिए बजट में बढ़ोतरी की है। कैबिनेट मंत्री डा. धन सिंह रावत ने कहा खेल एवं खिलाड़ियों को नई उड़ान देने के उद्देश्य से देहरादून में सांसद खेल महोत्सव का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।
कहा कि सांसद खेल महोत्सव प्रधानमंत्री के खेलो इंडिया विजन से प्रेरित है। इस मौके पर परियोजना निदेशक विक्रम सिंह, युवा कल्याण अधिकारी प्रमोद पांडे, अपर परियोजना निदेशक सोनम गुप्ता, जिला क्रिड़ा अधिकारी रविंद्र भंडारी आदि मौजूद रहे।
